Dr. Zhang joined HFC in Feb 2018 for semiconductor technology development.

Prior to HFC, Dr. Zhang was a Director of Advanced Technology Development of SMIC for 8 years, responsible for developments of 14nm unit module processes and N+1 module integration. Prior to SMIC, Dr. Zhang was a process integration manager at TD of Chartered of Singapore (later GlobalFoundries) for 12 years.

During his industrial careers, Dr. Zhang had been an Adjunct Researcher/Teaching Fellow/Professor/Industrial Supervisors to National University of Singapore, Shanghai Institute of Microsystem & Information Technology of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and University of Chinese Academy of Sciences respectively and sequentially.

Dr. Zhang obtained Ph.D. degree at Australian National University in Australia in 1995, and worked as Postdoctoral Research Fellow at University of Sydney until 1998.

Dr. Zhang holds 27 US patents, and has authored or co-authored over 40 technical papers, published in refereed journals.
